I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and have been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for more than 15 years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am also a certified Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) qualifying me to provide substance abuse/mental health prevention, intervention, counseling and related services in a school setting.
I do individual therapy with adolescents and adults. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I am dedicated to my own personal yoga practice and I often incorporate it in therapy, if it's appropriate, as it is much more than a physical practice. Yoga is a philosophy that can be used to activate our abilities, to strengthen our body, to focus our mind, and to unlock our potential.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I provide counseling services and specialized treatment in areas in which I have been trained. My commitment is to assist clients with their identified mental health needs. I have worked in the field of mental health/substance abuse for 15 years. If at any point I feel you would benefit from services that I do not provide, I have an ethical obligation to assist you in obtaining those services.
Confidentiality
According to New Jersey Law and my Professional Code of Ethics, all information disclosed in our sessions, and the written records of those sessions are confidential and may not be revealed to anyone without your written permission. The following are exceptions in which the law requires disclosure: If you are in danger of harming yourself or others, if there is evidence of child or elder abuse, or there is a court order.
Fees
I am an out of network provider. I will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some or all your fees may be covered by your health insurance, if you have outpatient mental health coverage. I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Cancellations
Therapy sessions are made by appointment and are generally 50 minutes in length. I require 24 hours notification when canceling a session. Please understand that you will be billed for the session if a cancellation is made on the day of the appointment. I have reserved that time to meet with you and if you do not let me know you need to change your appointment, I am not able to offer that time to another client.
Emails, Phone Calls, & Emergencies
For small administrative matters such as making or changing appointments, you are welcome to text/call me. If you need to contact me between sessions about a clinical matter, I prefer that you send an email or leave a voicemail. I generally will return messages within 24 hours (with the exception of weekends). I can make myself available in between sessions for brief consultations (10-15 minutes) if necessary. If you are in need of immediate assistance or are experiencing an emergency, please visit the nearest emergency room.
